1950 MG TD.

This car has been in the care of its current owner for over 40 years. In this time he had never driven it nor heard the engine run. The car was picked up on the 13.3.21 and the restoration began. The owner had built the engine and the chassis and had installed most of the mechanical functions. The body was in fairly bad shape so all of the skin on the car was removed and the repair to the wooden frame was completed. All the main structure of the body tub was cleaned holes repaired and the metal was cleaned and repainted to protect it. Then the reconstruction of the metal skin started and the preparation of the guards and other external body parts started. All the electrical wiring was completely replaced with new braided wiring to OE standard. All the fuel and brake lines were replaced and routed to factory specification. The owner had decided on British racing green for this car, so the specific colour was chosen which is B04 Lotus racing green.

The total length of this build was five months almost to the day, this was not a full time build, although there was 30+ hours per week put into the build. Total labour hours was 631.
