1962 Morgan 4/4 Series V

This car was found sitting in the front garden of a house, it had been sitting there for over 20 years. When it was first inspected all that was there was the chassis on its own. After discussion with the owner it was agreed on and most of the other missing parts were located.

From the outset this restoration was going to be very long and involved but the final product was well worth the work.

Every piece of this car has been restored. The engine underwent a full rebuild including custom made pistons and GT Cortina internals. The gear box was stripped and rebuilt, the twin DCOE Weber carburetors were fully rebuilt.

Most of the body tub metal was replaced made from aluminum instead of the original 18 gauge steel. All the guards were restored even with the amount of rust on them they were still good enough to keep.

All the wood in the body was remade to original, the only remaining original wood is the rear wheel arches and the main rockers.

The electrics were custom made so that any panel of the car can be removed without having to cut a wire.

Not having the original seats for the car I had to try and another option which on such a small car is no easy task but the final result suits the car and is comfortable to drive.

The car is currently only in sealer as we are yet to make a final decision on the colour it will be painted in.
